Short version: Some links on TripCurator are affiliate links — if you book or buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects which places or products we recommend. Our rankings are based entirely on research data.
1. What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a practice where a website earns a commission by linking to products or services on other websites. When a reader clicks one of our affiliate links and completes a qualifying action (such as a hotel booking or ticket purchase), TripCurator receives a small fee from the merchant.
This is a standard and transparent practice used by travel publishers worldwide. The commission is paid by the merchant — not by you. The price you pay is identical whether you use our link or go directly to the merchant's website.
2. Our Editorial Independence Commitment
TripCurator's core promise is research-backed, unbiased travel planning. To protect that promise, we follow strict editorial rules:
- Rankings are never influenced by commissions. Hotels, experiences, and services are ranked solely by data — verified user ratings, review volume, and our selection criteria. A property that pays higher commission does not rank higher in our guides.
- We do not accept payment for placement. No merchant can pay to appear in our top lists, itineraries, or recommended sections.
- We only link to what we would genuinely recommend. If a product or service does not meet our quality threshold, we do not include it regardless of commission availability.
- Affiliate availability does not determine inclusion. We include the best options based on data. We add affiliate links where available — if no affiliate programme exists for the best option, we still recommend it.
3. How to Identify Affiliate Links
All affiliate links on TripCurator are marked with the HTML attributes rel="nofollow sponsored" in our source code, in compliance with Google's webmaster guidelines and standard best practices.
In our content, affiliate links typically appear as:
- "Check Availability" or "View Price" buttons in hotel comparison tables
- "Book Now" or "Reserve" buttons in itinerary accommodation sections
- "Get Tickets" buttons in experience and activity sections
Standard article links to destinations, guides, or reference information are not affiliate links.
4. Our Affiliate Partners

5. FTC & Regulatory Compliance
This disclosure is made in compliance with the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 C.F.R. Part 255), and with the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidelines on online affiliate marketing.
In accordance with these guidelines, we disclose our affiliate relationships prominently and clearly so readers can make fully informed decisions.
6. Google AdSense Advertising
In addition to affiliate links, TripCurator displays banner advertisements through Google AdSense. These are clearly labelled as "Advertisement" on the page. AdSense advertising revenue is separate from affiliate commissions and does not influence editorial content in any way.
Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
